NEWS

All Saints’ Church

We are delighted to tell you that the Rev Jacqueline Dove has been installed as Rector for the new Blackthorn Chase Benefice comprising the five villages of Beachampton, Nash, Thornborough, Thornton and Whaddon.

We are allowed to hold worship services in All Saints’ Church and held our first communion service on Sunday 12 July.

The following services will take place in the new Benefice on 27 September:

Holy Communion: Beachampton, 10am

Harvest Festival Service: Nash 3pm

We will have the church porch open on Saturday if anyone wants to bring Harvest Offerings – this year we are only taking non perishable goods (with a decent “use by date”) for the Buckingham Food Bank, as well as taking a collection for Water Aid. For those coming to the service, please leave your Harvest Offerings by the font as you come into church.

Food Bank’s  most wanted items:

Small jars of coffee

Small/ medium bottles of fruit drinks

Sugar

Tinned: Potatoes

                Meat products

                Vegetables

                Custard

                Fruit

                Rice pudding

                Tomatoes

Unfortunately we are not allowed to sing the Harvest hymns, but there will be music. With social distancing, we can only use every other pew, and everyone over the age of 11 must wear a face covering, unless you are exempt.  It would be great to see you, and we will do our best to fit everyone in.

Any questions, please email or ring Pam King.

We are continuing with the preparation of service sheet each Sunday for the five Blackthorn Chase villages.  This includes a short reflection by one of the Ministry Team together with a bible reading and prayers. The service sheet is circulated electronically (or by hand) so that we can each read the service sheet in our own homes on that Sunday knowing that we are doing this collectively as a church. If you would like to be included in the circulation please email buckinghamvillages@gmail.com.  In addition, the Church of England website also hosts a number of online services, see www.churchofengland.org
